CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wood
To keep your wooden furniture looking beautiful for years, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with water or high humidity, which can cause damage. We recommend applying dedicated wood oils or waxes periodically to maintain its natural warmth and luster. Protect your pieces from direct sunlight, which can cause fading.
If you would like to refresh or restore the wood surface, please contact us at hello@tamo.design, and we will advise you on the most suitable product for your piece. Taking these small steps will help your furniture age gracefully and remain a cherished part of your home.
Glass
Clean your glass surfaces gently using mild cleaning agents and a soft cloth to avoid scratches. Always handle glass items with care to prevent impacts. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the surface. Regular, gentle cleaning will help your glass maintain its clarity and elegance for years to come.
Fabric
For sofa fabrics, we recommend cleaning only with a soft cloth and mild gray soap - avoid harsh chemicals or aggressive scrubbing. For merino wool blankets, always hand wash at a maximum of 30°C to preserve softness and prevent shrinking.
Vacuum upholstery regularly to remove dust and debris, and treat spills promptly according to the type of fabric.
Steel
For stainless steel surfaces, use a soft cloth with water and mild soap. Powder-coated steel should be cleaned with a damp cloth, avoiding scrubbing. Protect steel from standing water, salts, and corrosive chemicals to prevent rust or damage. Stainless steel can be polished with dedicated products to maintain its shine. Avoid scratches and impacts, which may compromise the finish.
Stone
Stone surfaces such as marble, granite, and travertine are durable and elegant, but they do benefit from thoughtful care. Clean with gentle cleaners and a soft cloth. Applying stone impregnators helps reduce staining and keeps the surface looking pristine. Regular polishing or wiping with a dry cloth preserves the natural shine and texture. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners, and never place hot objects directly on stone countertops.
Leather
Dust and dirt can wear leather over time, so regular gentle cleaning is key to keeping your product looking its best. Vacuum with a soft brush on a low to medium setting, or wipe with a dry cloth. In case of spills, dab immediately with a dry cloth or paper-avoid rubbing to prevent marks from spreading.
Leather will naturally patinate and develop character as it comes into contact with skin oils and moisture. Protect your furniture from direct sunlight, radiators, and fireplaces to maintain its appearance.
