Nepal Unfolded

Between peaks and valleys, ideas take shape

The mountains rise dramatically in every direction, with small streets and bustling markets tucked in between. Sounds inspiring, right? Nepal is the perfect place to look for creativity - vibrant colors, rich textures, and endless stories around every corner. We set out with an analog camera and a little 8 mm video camera tucked under our arms, searching for the kind of inspiration we’d love to share. From quiet temples to colorful streets, here’s a glimpse of what we discovered and why Nepal continues to fuel our creativity.

Kathmandu is a vibrant maze of narrow streets, colorful temples, and bustling markets, where every corner tells a story.

Kathmandu is a city that pulses with life, where the streets are alive with the rhythm of daily routines. Art can be found everywhere - from intricate carvings on temples to murals brightening hidden alleys. Around every corner, interesting architectural details emerge, blending centuries-old traditions with modern touches. It’s a city that constantly inspires and invites you to explore its vibrant culture.

From Kathmandu, we set off to Pokhara to begin our trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Surrounded by local guides and savoring delicious food along the way, we immersed ourselves in the life of the mountains.

At first, we walked through the lush valleys, gradually making our way toward the towering peaks. The weather shifted dramatically throughout the day, from warm sunlight to sudden mountain mists, reminding us of the raw power of the Himalayas.

Every step brought new sensations: the fragrant aroma of local herbs and fresh mountain air, the lively sounds of flowing streams, birdsong, and the occasional chatter of villagers we passed, and the vibrant colors of terraced fields, prayer flags, and rhododendron forests. The landscape was alive with variety - wildflowers and rare plants dotted our path, and we glimpsed native wildlife that seemed to watch our progress quietly from the edges of the trail.

With the summit in sight, the mountains seemed to unfold around us.

What made the journey really special, though, wasn’t just the scenery. It was the small moments along the way: sharing stories and meals with local guides, chatting with fellow trekkers, breathing in the fresh mountain air, and noticing the little details.. Sometimes, it’s just about being there, surrounded by good people and the rhythm of the mountains, letting the days unfold naturally.

Every step, every view, and every encounter sparked ideas in ways we didn’t expect. The trek became more than a physical journey - it was a chance to slow down, notice, and absorb. From quiet moments watching the clouds drift over the peaks to the lively energy of small villages along the way, the Himalayas offered endless inspiration.
