INTRODUCING
The process
Every piece begins as a spark in the designer’s mind - a fleeting idea, a line, a feeling. This vision is carefully translated onto paper, explored through sketches, models, and countless iterations, each refined through experimentation and testing. Once the concept is fully shaped, the search for materials begins: wood, stone, metal, and textiles are meticulously selected for their quality, texture, and character.
Every step of the process unfolds under the designer’s watchful eye. Each stage - from initial sketches to material selection and prototyping - spans several weeks, allowing time for reflection, adjustment, and perfection. The result is furniture that carries both the spirit of its original idea and the tangible presence of craft, materiality, and considered design.

DESIGNER
Marcin Laskowski
He is the founder of TAMO, an entrepreneur, and the brand’s lead designer. Most of the collection has been created under his creative direction. Drawing inspiration from traditional woodworking techniques and a deep love for art, he has developed a unique, signature collection of furniture.
His experimental approach to form and dedication to the artistic direction of the brand reflect the true spirit of TAMO. His designs are rich in shape and fluidly merge cultural references—ranging from Gdynia modernism to minimalist Northern European design.
Marcin’s deep passion for wood and his expertise in both industrial and artisanal production processes are present in every aspect of his work.
